For years, my world was in low-voltage systems engineering—a career that demanded precision, long hours, and a constant supply of quality coffee to navigate the daily "grind". Traveling across the country for various projects, I discovered that coffee was more than just fuel; it was a culture. From one city to the next, I witnessed a vibrant mosaic of passion. Every café, every barista, and every region had its own unique artistry and devotion to the craft. I was captivated.
That captivation grew into a personal obsession. I would often sneak away from a job site to discover a unique local coffee shop, feeling like a little Robin Hood on a quest for the perfect brew. This habit earned me a nickname and, eventually, a business name: The Espresso Bandit.
My fascination wasn't just in tasting; it was in understanding the art and science behind it all. My kitchen became a laboratory filled with countless coffee pots and espresso machines as I sought to master the craft myself. One day, a perceptive supervisor noticed my dedication and asked, "Since you're so obsessed with coffee, why don't you start a business in it?"
That conversation was the spark. I took the leap, left my engineering career behind, and dedicated myself to turning this passion into a purpose.
