Turin Gallatin R Espresso Machine (Rotary Pump & Flow Control)
Silence. Precision. Pure Walnut Luxury.
The Turin Gallatin R isn't just an espresso machine; it is the "end-game" setup for the home barista who demands commercial performance without the commercial noise.
Merging the tactile satisfaction of a classic E61 grouphead with the whisper-quiet power of a professional Rotary Pump, the Gallatin R offers a brewing experience that feels as good as it tastes. Wrapped in mirror-finish stainless steel and accented with genuine Black Walnut touchpoints, this machine is designed to be the centerpiece of your kitchen.
Whether you want the convenience of a reservoir or the endless workflow of a direct water line connection, the Gallatin R adapts to your lifestyle while giving you total control over every drop of espresso.
Why the Gallatin R is the Ultimate Upgrade
1. The Rotary Pump Advantage (Stealth Mode)
Most home machines utilize loud vibratory pumps. The Gallatin R is powered by a commercial-grade Rotary Pump.
- Whisper-Quiet: Brew your 6:00 AM espresso without waking up the rest of the house.
- Instant Pressure: The pump ramps up to 9 bars immediately, providing a consistent, thick crema.
- Direct Plumbing: Ready to commit? You can bypass the internal tank and plumb this machine directly into your home water line for an infinite water supply.
2. Standard Flow Control (The Flavor Profiler)
On many machines, flow control is an expensive aftermarket upgrade. On the Gallatin R, it is standard. The Grouphead Flow Control Paddle puts you in the driver's seat.
- Save the Shot: If your grind is slightly off, you can adjust the flow in real-time to save the extraction.
- Flavor Profiling: Mimic the pressure profiles of lever machines. Ramp up slowly for a long pre-infusion to reduce channeling, hold steady for body, and taper off pressure at the end to minimize bitterness.
3. Heat Exchange Powerhouse
Powered by a massive 2-Liter Heat Exchange (HX) Boiler, the Gallatin R is a multi-tasking beast. You can brew espresso and steam milk simultaneously—no switching modes, no waiting for the boiler to recover. The temperature is managed by a PID Controller, ensuring your brew water is always at the perfect set point (displayed clearly on the digital shot timer).
4. Joystick Ergonomics & Walnut Accents
The Gallatin R replaces tedious turn-knobs with Joystick Steam and Hot Water Valves.
- Instant Steam: Flick the joystick in any direction for full steam power instantly. It is faster, more ergonomic, and creates less wear-and-tear than traditional knobs.
- Premium Touch: The portafilter handle, tamper, brew lever, and flow control paddle are all crafted from solid Black Walnut, providing a warm, stunning contrast to the polished steel body.

Protect Your Investment
To ensure the longevity of the Rotary Pump and Boiler, using the correct water is critical.
- Filtration: We strongly recommend using water that is filtered and softened (but not distilled/RO without remineralization).
- Scale Warning: Limescale buildup is the #1 cause of machine failure and is not covered under warranty. Use a BWT Bestsave pad in the tank or a dedicated inline filter system if plumbing in.
